Attractions return for annual Leeds Ice Cube

Funfair

The Leeds Ice Cube may have been scaled down over the years as far as the area used for skating is concerned, but Millennium Square, which has hosted one of the first big events in Leeds for a number of years, has become more than just a skating destination. It is now a winter visitor attraction in its own right, and as well as the skating there is the Igloo Café, themed games, rides for the kids and a couple of larger thrill rides to occupy visitors.

Malcolm Farrelly’s account is on page 4.

Circus

Santus Circus’ Cirque de Noel

Circus

Santus Circus returned to Polhill Garden Centre near Sevenoaks for their third festive season, with shows from December 14 until January 5. The circus has previously been positioned close to the garden centre building, but due to the construction of a new playground the show was located to one side of the car park. This allowed for a much better layout for the show, with its fleet of red transport and the smaller red Big Top acquired from the Czech Republic three years ago.

Andy Payne’s review is on page 18.

Preservation

ERFs at Honiton Hill Rally

pres

The 2017 Honiton Hill Rally will be remembered as one of the best, aided undoubtedly by two days of perfect weather. It would be churlish to say it was too hot, but with the sun beating down relentlessly it was certainly warm.

Charlie Elston’s report is on page 21.
