The World's Fair April 13th, 2018 - In This Week

A partial washout in Norwich

The Norwich Easter fair is held in the Chapelfield Gardens, a picturesque park a short walk away from the city centre. There are plenty of nearby car parks, including the multi storey inside the nearby Chapelfield shopping centre, and a bus route passes the ground. The fair was well advertised, and due to open from March 28 to April 2.

Lee Harwood’s account is on page 5.

Circus Starr goes to Hollywood

The annual theatre tour of Circus Starr began in Crawley after several days of rehearsal at the venue, with producers Phillip Gandey and Tony Wilkie-Millar, and choreographer Daniel Todd.

Andy Payne’s review is on page 24.

A selection of Series 1 Land Rovers

The original demonstration 1948 Series 1 Land Rover was unveiled to the public at that year’s Amsterdam Motor Show, and it has now been discovered and is set to be restored. This original is to get a full rebuild by Jaguar Land Rover mechanics, and will no doubt look superb when finished.

Charlie Elston’s report is on page 29.
