Cookies Policy

This policy describes how cookies are used by World’s Fair Publications Ltd and its subsidiary companies.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device as you use a website. They are used to activate or remember you and your preferences, to enable smooth user experience of the site, and to provide information on user behavior to the owner of the site.

Some of these cookies are “session cookies”, which expire when you leave the website. Others are “persistent cookies” which remain on your device either until you delete them or until they reach their expiry date.

Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting (“first party”) or by companies the website uses for services or general functioning (“third party”).

How We Use Cookies

This site uses both functional and non-functional cookies.

Functional Cookies

1) Cookies strictly necessary for the functioning of the site.

These include WordPress session cookies.

This website uses Cleantalk SpamFireWall service to protect the website from spam users and bots. CleanTalk uses Cookies to manage access to the website by the CleanTalk SpamFireWall Function, to secure and to protect this website from spam. These cookies do not store personal information.

2) Cookies required for preferences and statistics

These include cookies to save your preferences, such as items in your shopping cart, language and currency preferences, and also for the management of statistics by the owner of the site.

Functional cookies are used automatically as you use the site. They do not identify you as an individual. To delete these cookies, see below.

Non-functional Cookies

Service or User Experience Cookies

You consent to using cookies associated with services by signing up to or deliberately using a service within the site, such as login details, email marketing or contact form.  In each case, the cookies will only be activated upon use of the service. These cookies may include personally identifiable information, but this will only be information that you have chosen to disclose and submit in use of the service.

We will always be transparent about what information we collect, what we use it for, and who we share it with.

This site uses Awesome Weather Widget plugin to display the current weather. This plugin has the ability to use your location to display the weather in your area. To do this, the plugin will use either your IP address, or use your GPS or WiFi to identify your longitude and latitude. This will only be done with your explicit consent. If you select the option to ‘SET YOUR LOCATION’, a box will appear saying ‘worldsfair.co.uk wants to know your location’. Only if you click ‘Allow’, will the plugin use your location. After you have clicked ‘Allow’, your location will be stored as a cookie or setting in your browser. If you would like to delete this, delete your cookies (make sure that Site Settings are also deleted). See ‘Preventing and Deleting Cookies’ section of the cookies policy for how to do this. Your location will not be stored by World’s Fair or Awesome Weather Widget as a result of selecting your weather location.

Analytics & Remarketing Cookies

The use of analytics and remarketing cookies are consented to on acceptance of cookies.

The cookies below collect data in an anonymized form and may be used for advertising targeting and the aggregation of statistics.

This site uses Google Analytics, which places “cookies” on your computer or mobile device to help us understand user demographics, interests and website usage. This data is transmitted to and stored on Google’s servers in the United States. The data collected will not include any information that personally identifies you. For more information on the data that Google Analytics collects, see our privacy policy. If you wish to opt-out of any or all of Google Analytics’ cookies, you can do so using the browser add-on available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

We also use Google Signals, which allows Google Analytics to associate information about how users browse our website with the Google accounts of users who are signed-in to their Google accounts and have consented to personalised advertising in their Google accounts. This information may include user location, search history, YouTube history, and data from sites that partner with Google. This information is anonymized so that we cannot identify the individual Google users.

Google Signals also uses cookies from Google to collect this information.

This site uses Google Ads Remarketing service. This uses a cookie to record your visit to our website, and uses this information to potentially display our adverts to you on 3rd-party websites that you visit in future. This data is transmitted to and stored on Google’s servers in the United States. The data collected will not include any information that personally identifies you. These cookies expire after a maximum of 90 days. We use this service in order to optimize our advertising.

To prevent collection via Google Signals and opt out of Google Ads Remarketing, users can opt out of Google Analytics Advertising Features through their Google Ads settings, or by using Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

This site also uses Google Ads Conversion tracking. This cookie records whether you have purchased any of our products after clicking one of our adverts placed on 3rd-party websites through to our website. We use this service in order to refine and measure the success of our advertising campaigns on 3rd-party websites. These cookies expire after a maximum of 90 days. This data is transmitted to and stored on Google’s servers in the United States. The data collected will not include any information that personally identifies you. We use this service in order to optimize our website and advertising.

For more information on the information Google collects and why, you can read their privacy policy at the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy

This site uses the Facebook Pixel, a tracking code that places cookies on your device. This tracks users actions after being redirected to the website by clicking on a Facebook advert. This allows us to monitor the effectiveness of adverts that we have placed on Facebook. We do not record your personal data; your personal data is also anonymous to us. However, your IP address and data from your actions on our website may be stored and processed by Facebook so that it can be linked to the respective user profile, in addition to its own research and marketing purposes. This in accordance with Facebook’s data policy, which you can read here:
https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

We may also use the data from your website actions in use of Facebook Custom Audiences and Facebook Lookalike Audiences features. Facebook Custom Audiences are groups of users based on their behaviour on our website and Facebook page. This allows us to place retargeting adverts on Facebook – this means that our adverts may appear to you when you visit Facebook after using our website. We use the data from Facebook pixel so that these adverts match your interests and are not annoying.  Facebook Lookalike Audiences uses data collected by Facebook pixel to display adverts to users with similar behaviour to users in a Custom Audiences list based on their engagement on this website and Facebook itself.

You have the right to reject cookies and opt-out of retargeting. To prevent or delete the Facebook pixel or other cookies from your device, please read the section ‘Preventing and Deleting Cookies’ below.

You can deactivate the Facebook Custom Audiences retargeting feature here (you will need to log in first):
https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings/?entry_product=account_settings_menu

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can opt out of Facebook Commercial Advertising on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices

This website also uses Facebook Conversions API to collect information about how our website is used and help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising. With Conversions API, this information is processed on our web server and sent while encrypted to Facebook’s servers. The information may include personally identifiable information such as name, email, and phone number, along with web browser information (such as browser type and IP address). This data may still be collected even if you have blocked cookies in your browser settings or use an ad blocker.
The data will only be collected if you have accepted tracking in the cookie notice that pops up when you land on our website. To remove this tracking acceptance, delete cookies in your web browser.
You can delete the data that has been sent to Facebook’s servers via your Facebook account. In your Facebook account, go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Your Facebook Information > Off-Facebook Activity. Here you can clear your history, and manage which websites are allowed to share your website activity.

This site uses Moosend website tracking for email marketing research. This tracks and records which pages and products on our website are more popular. This service places a cookie on your browser to record the pages and products you view on our website. It does this using a unique number in the cookie. It does not track your IP address or record any personal information without your consent.  If you have signed up to our website or email updates, logged into our website, or purchased a product, it will track this data alongside the personal information you have given us. It will only do this if you have also accepted cookies by clicking ‘Accept’ in the cookie notice box.
Tracking data is not stored permanently, only until you delete your cookies. To prevent this tracking, you can decline cookies tracking by not clicking ‘Accept’ in the cookie notice box. You can also delete or block your browser cookies (see our privacy policy). We will only retain the personal information that you give us on signing up. This information can be deleted on request (see our privacy policy). We will only send our emails (excluding transactional emails when you order a product) if you have signed up to our email subscription service.
