Wednesday 8th January 2025 at the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SEC), Exhibition Way, Glasgow G3 8YW.
The Amusement Devices Inspection Procedures Scheme (ADIPS) is holding another free safety health awareness training day (SHAD) on Wednesday 8 January 2025 at the SEC in Glasgow.
This will be the first SHAD to have taken place in Scotland, so it is important that Scottish Showmen (and all who can attend) support the day.
The day will be a re-run of the 2024 day in Peterborough as the subjects then were well received by those who attended. Staff training is an essential part of operating nowadays and this event will be ideal way to fulfil this and itâs FREE.
The subjects to be covered include Electrical safety, Non-destructive Testing (NDT), Passenger Behaviour, Inflatables and Machine Maintenance (lead by the HSE). There will also be updates from ADIPS, other safety matters and technical bulletins. There is also the plan to have a physical part of the day in the main hall downstairs.
An Eventbrite page has been set up. To book your free place please use the QR code in this article.
Attendees of the day will receive a certificate to place into their staff training folders and the day is open to all showpeople â operators and workers. A further information flyer is available through your association. For more on the day that was run in March in Peterborough please see your back issue of Worldâs Fair (April issue).
Lunch and refreshments will be supplied.
