Stratos Fear goes down a storm at Oulton

A new machine certainly caused a huge stir when it rolled into Leeds as part of a first class fair presented by George Rowland Tucker in support of the annual Oulton Fest.

As always, George brought along a good selection of attractions to the sports fields at Oulton Community Sports Club, but for 2022 it was that bit more special.

Each year the festival features live bands, real ales and a firework display on the Saturday night, and draws good crowds. To cater for the thrill seekers and families the fairground has become an important part of the proceedings, and George always delivers.

However, this year he went one further with the inclusion of Royce Knowles’ Stratos Fear, a ride which debuted on the family run back in June and has been creating a lot of attention wherever it has opened. The reaction was the same at Oulton, as the ride quickly became the must-do attraction for the teenagers and proved to be a huge focal point for the fair.

As well as the Stratos Fear George also brought along his new Cliffhanger Miami 3, which has earned him plenty of plaudits, and this was joined by his Hell Creator waltzer and Sizzler Twist.

Zoe Tucker also presented her G Force Mojo, while George’s fun house and Fred Proctor’s Wild Frontier coaster completed the larger pieces of equipment. These were supported by a good selection of juveniles and games along with a wide assortment of food.

The fair opened from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 September, and with business getting off to a better than usual start on the Friday, the following two days also proved good for the showmen.
