The Glasgow Carnival returns to SEC

With everything that’s going on in the world right now, we could all use something to look forward to – so QD Events, the organisers of Glasgow Carnival, are pushing ahead with their plans for the 2020/21 event.

Returning to the SEC, Glasgow, from 23rd December 2020 to 17th January 2021, the Carnival has just celebrated its centenary year, and plans to kick off its second century with a bang. With over 65 rides and attractions, it’s easy to see why 160,000 visitors attend every year!

Applications are now open for rides and stalls, and visitor tickets will go on sale in the autumn. If you’re a ride or stall holder, and want to apply to take part in the UK’s largest event of its kind, see below for further details:

MAJOR & JUVENILE RIDES

Please send full details including required floor space, max height required to operate, dimensions (including additional items e.g. paybox), and ride capacity. Please also include a recent photograph, a sketch showing dimensions (inc. paybox etc) and the payment expected. Electricity is provided by the Organiser.

ROUND & SIDE STALLS

Successful applicants will be required to supply their own SWAG. The Organiser will reimburse and element of the cost of the SWAG at the end of the event – full details will be given to successful applicants. Send full details/rules of game, a recent photograph, and note of payment expected. Electricity is provided by the organiser.

CARNIVAL ENTRY SYSTEM

We operate a voucher system for riding and playing game stalls. Visitors pay a minimum entry fee, and receive vouchers which can be used on rides and stalls. Additional vouchers can be purchased within the hall. No cash will be taken at rides or stalls.
