The Showmen’s British Open golf tournament took place on 15-16 September at the Old Thorns Golf Course near Liphook. The tournament was hosted by the London Showman’s Golf Society and the 48 competitors were blessed with very good weather over the two days.
There was a tie for first place between two players with combined nett scores of 148. Michael Mayne Snr came out overall winner beating Thomas Manning on gross/net score on Day 2.
