IMPORTANT – TOWN MOOR ADVERTISING
Further to the letter received from the Freemen of Newcastle regarding the advertising for the Hoppings, here is some clarification of the proposal.
After the meeting with the Freemen and some tenants at the Town Moor in 2019 the tenants asked if the Northern Section committee would try and help with the advertising.
After discussions with the Freemen it has been decided to ask the tenants if they would like to pay an extra 5% on top of their rent, which would go to the Northern Section on a trial basis this year. This, along with £9,000, which the Freemen spent on postering, would then give the Northern Section a promotion budget to spend on what they thought was best.
Also note that the Freemen will also promote the event the same as 2019, which was described in their letter. Therefore the 5% will be used to boost the advertising with alternative methods from the Freemen.
This will be either:
Traffic directional signs
Extra postering
Trucks on the motorways
Radio
Newspaper
School leaflets
TO CLARIFY, THIS IS AN EXTRA 5% ON WHAT YOU ALREADY PAY THAT WILL GO DIRECTLY TO US, THE NORTHERN SECTION COMMITTEE, SO WE CAN HELP THE FREEMEN WITH THEIR EXISTING ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN TO TRY AND TAKE THE FAIR FORWARD FOR THE BENEFIT OF US ALL.
Also please note after the vote we may need to call a tenants meeting in March.
The closing date for the vote is 24th January, please have your vote in by then.
