Showmen’s Guild officials have expressed their shock at the tragic death today of Sir David Amess MP. President Philip Paris said:
“All our sympathies and prayers are with Sir David Amess MP’s family at this tragic time.
“Following the tragic and shocking events of today, resulting in the passing of Sir David Amess MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Fairs and Showgrounds, we are sharing the letter of sympathy and condolence that we have sent to Sir David’s family, via his Parliamentary Office Manager and colleague, Gill Lee, to whom we also offer condolences and with which, we are sure, many Showmen and Showwomen will wish to identify.”
