Showmen’s Guild Statement on the passing of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II

The President, Senior & Junior Vice Presidents, and Treasurer, along with the Management team and all 10 regional Section teams, join our membership of the Showmen’s Guild of Great Britain nationwide in sending our deepest condolences to the Royal Family on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Many of our Past Presidents of the Showmen’s Guild, as well as individual members of the Showmen’s community, have had the honour of meeting with Her Majesty, along with the late Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, both at the official Garden Parties hosted at Buckingham Palace and on other occasions, over the years of Her Majesty’s reign.

We are all grateful for the Queen’s service to the nation, with dignified leadership and stability, over seven decades, that has been an example to us all, as we have had the honour to work across the country and to flourish during the years of peace and stability of her reign.

Our thoughts are with the new King and his Queen Consort at this sad time, as we all reflect on the many memorable occasions of Her Late Majesty the Queen’s honourable reign over us all.
