An international audience of VIPs and dignitaries from trade associations representing the amusements industry in countries including Austria, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Spain, the United States as well as sister bodies from the UK will gather at January’s EAG Expo to join celebrations marking the 50th year of UK trade association Bacta.
EAG will ‘go gold’ as the leading amusements and low stake gaming expo serves as the launch-pad for what will be a year-long programme of 50th anniversary events.
EAG Chairman Martin Burlin believes that the industry show provides an ideal backdrop for the celebrations. He stated: “Bacta’s ownership of EAG means that every policy decision and every show initiative has been and will continue to be taken only in the best interests of Bacta members and of the industry as a whole.
“For example, the EAG seminar programme exists to meet the business needs of operators as well as those of the extended industry supply chain. Similarly, having nine not for profit organisations donated free space on the Bacta Safer Gambling Hub is not a revenue-building opportunity but one which demonstrates the central importance of social responsibility to the industry and a commitment to reinforce and drive best practice.”
“I am delighted that Bacta’s 50th celebrations will start at EAG and take place in front of so many Bacta member exhibitors and visitors.”
The 4,000+ operators from sectors including family entertainment centres, adult gaming centres, seaside piers, leisure attractions, bars, clubs, bingo halls and bowling centres expected to attend the 2024 edition of EAG, Expo (16 – 18 January, ExCeL, London) will have the opportunity to access the very latest product launches and innovations from circa 100 leading brands, share insights and experiences with industry colleagues, keep up with developments impacting social responsibility, celebrate industry excellence at the bacta Annual Awards and participate in the EAG seminar programme.
