As suppliers gear up for EAG Expo 2024, Electrocoin continue their mission of Expanding the World of Play.
Whilst reports of the negative impact of the cost of living crisis on retail, entertainment, hospitality and other key sectors abounded in 2023, it wasn’t all bad news.
“It all depends on how you look at it”, Electrocoin’s John A Stergides said. Although the year was best described as “mixed”, compared to 2019, the last full year before the pandemic, there were positive signs of the strength of the leisure industry and, overall, 2023 was better.
“Leisure has been a strong driver and it can be seen with investments into new games and the opening of new leisure locations throughout the UK and Europe”, he told World’s Fair.
EAG Expo is, of course, the main highlight of the year as it sets the trend for the year ahead with many new products launched, but Electrocoin have seen some very positive results from the exhibitions they’ve attended overseas, particularly in the relaunched Greece show, which John A Stergides described as “very positive for a market that had been quiet for many years”.
Last year started well for Electrocoin, with their new product Rocket Launch well received at EAG 2023 and going from strength to strength over the year.
“It is proving very successful and any operator that has taken a Skill Cut Winner, should be adding the Rocket Launch to their portfolio. Results have been strong and we expect demand to continue strongly in 2024”, John A Stergides said.
Looking forward to EAG
EAG 2024 will see the European launch of Stern Pinball’s latest Pinball, but Electrocoin will have a few new products on display, all of which have been proving successful during testing.
As well as a mix of games, ranging from the latest AGC Gaming equipment, new pinballs, prize games, video and also ticket redemption, there will be a few surprises, too.
Looking forward to the show, John A Stergides said: “We think operators will be pleased with the improvements on existing successful line ups but also the latest products we have to offer.”
This year is likely to see considerable uncertainty as we head towards a general election. With the White Paper launched in April 2023, John Anthony says he wouldn’t be surprised if it gets delayed even further should the Conservatives lose. However, overall he hopes that “the positivity and growth in leisure continues as people want out of home experiences.”
One thing is for certain, Electrocoin will continue their mission of Expanding the World of Play during 2024, with new top games, whether for FEC, bowling centres, AGC, single sites etc.
“We try to have products that lend themselves for each market, in the UK and abroad. We hope to continue to grow and provide top games for operators and players”, John A Stergides said.
You can visit Electrocoin on stand D46 at EAG Expo 24. The show takes place at ExCel, London from 16-18 January.
