Park Avenue Open Day returns in June

Electrocoin and UDC will be throwing open their doors again next month for the Park Avenue Open Day, where numerous coin-op manufacturers and suppliers will have their latest equipment on display.

The Park Avenue Open Day, hosted by Electrocoin and UDC, will be running this year on Wednesday 7 June.

The annual event, which the two firms have co-hosted for many years now, is aimed at all operators of coin op amusements, whether they run single (including travelling) arcades or multi-site attractions, FECs, AGCs, bowling centres or any other business featuring coin-op equipment.

It’s the coin-op industry’s last chance before the summer season to catch up with people from across the industry, from manufacturers, distributors, service providers and other operators – and, of course, to see new ideas and check out products that are performing well. Such is its reputation that visitors come not just from all over the UK, but from mainland Europe as well.

With its laid back atmosphere the Park Avenue Open Day is seen by many as a great chance to catch up with people from across the industry, from manufacturers, distributors, service providers and operators.

Electrocoin

Electrocoin’s John A Stergides told World’s Fair: “There will be over 30 companies represented and this includes Novomatic who are our headline sponsor and will be bringing their latest AGC equipment, Blueprint, Gewete, Reflex, Harry Levy, Sega and Namco, so there is a great mix of suppliers on hand with their representatives.

“We will also be showing a full range of our products, including our latest offerings and also our popular amusement portfolio including Skill Shooter, Mr Do Space Rocks, Mr Do Air Balls, Magic Key, and more.

“We will also have a full range of Galileo Ticket Eaters on display and will be demonstrating the Galileo Prize Shop system and Intercard Cashless system, as well as showing the latest photo booth from Digital Centre and the latest Pinballs from Stern, including James Bond. The latter will be connected online to display with the Stern Insider Connected system functioning with the Leaderboard display.

UDC

UDC, similarly, make great efforts for the day and ensure that a great selection of games is on show for visitors to see, in a relaxed, social atmosphere. They say their showroom will be “stuffed to the gills” with new games and that they will also be unveiling more new games on the day. Father and son Derek and Mark Horwood will be on hand to chat to guests, along with the rest of the UDC team. “We do our best to make sure that people visit both Electrocoin and UDC to get the full picture on the day”, the firm says.

The day runs from 10am to 5pm and Electrocoin will be welcoming guests with a champagne reception in the morning, followed by their famous Greek barbecue. The ever popular ice cream van will also be present on the day, handing out ice creams.

There is also a charity element to the day, as there will be the usual raffle with all proceeds going to the Bacta Charitable Trust.

The Park Avenue Open Day takes place at Electrocoin and UDC’s premises at 181 Park Avenue, London NW10 7XH. For directions and map visit https://www.electrocoin.com/park-avenue-open-day/
